CLAVERACK, NY — Two Connecticut residents were arrested following a traffic stop on Interstate 90 on March 18, 2026.
Members of the New York State Police Troop K Community Stabilization Unit stopped a vehicle traveling westbound on Interstate 90 at approximately 5:46 p.m. for violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
The operator was identified as Harry Batchelor Jr., 29, of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
The front-seat passenger was identified as Lymarie T. Navedo, 24, of East Hartford, Connecticut.
During the investigation, State Police K-9 Jet conducted an exterior scan of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert in the presence of narcotics.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately 303.8 grams of cocaine.
Batchelor Jr. and Navedo were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st, a class A-I felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Intent to Sell), a class B felony.
Both were arraigned in the Town of Claverack Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
