EASTON, PA — Police arrested a 73-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence after he was observed driving into oncoming traffic on March 2, 2026.
An officer observed a vehicle driving into oncoming traffic in the area of 301 Town Center Boulevard at approximately 5:27 p.m.
The officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Jean-Francois Orszag of Pennsylvania.
While speaking with Orszag, the officer detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his person and breath.
Orszag agreed to participate in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
As a result of the tests, Orszag was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence.
Orszag was transported to a Northampton County DUI Center for a legal blood draw.
The blood draw later determined his blood alcohol content was 0.195%.
Orszag was charged by criminal complaint with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol – general impairment, one count of driving under the influence of alcohol – highest rate, and one count of driving on right side of roadway.
