CARLISLE, PA — Police arrested a man after he allegedly fired multiple shots at a vehicle containing his child and other occupants.
North Middleton Police responded to the intersection of Maplewood Drive and Pennsylvania Avenue for a report of shots fired at approximately 1:45 p.m. Friday.
Officers arrived and found Jamal Tijuan Spells Jr., 25, of Carlisle, who reported his child had been taken by the mother, who was with two other unidentified adult males.
Police determined Spells had fired his handgun at the mother’s vehicle multiple times as they left the scene.
Spells was taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangering, endangering the welfare of children and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure.
The child and other occupants of the vehicle were unharmed and cooperated with the investigation.
Spells is being held in Cumberland County Prison awaiting arraignment.
