UNADILLA, NY — A woman faces multiple charges following a property damage motor vehicle accident on State Highway 7.
Michelle L. Nichols, 42, of Unadilla, was arrested on March 17, 2026, according to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.
Nichols was charged with driving while intoxicated-first offense, operate motor vehicle .08 of 1% or more of alcohol-first offense, fail to keep right, speed not reasonable and prudent, driving on shoulders/slopes and consumption of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
Sheriff’s officials said Nichols was found to have operated a motor vehicle on a public roadway while intoxicated by alcohol.
Nichols was taken into custody and processed on the charges.
She was later released with an appearance ticket and uniform traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Town of Unadilla Court at a later date.
