CHELSEA, MA — A man has been charged with murder following a stabbing that left one person dead and multiple others injured.
Chelsea Police received a call at 6:45 p.m. March 19 for a stabbing in the area of Chestnut Street and Everett Avenue.
Officers responding to the scene located multiple stabbing victims.
All victims were immediately provided medical aid and transported to the hospital for treatment.
One victim, a 25-year-old man, suffered potentially life-threatening stab wounds and later died at the hospital.
Police arrested Sergio Josue Castellanos, 18, of Chelsea, during the investigation.
Castellanos was scheduled to be arraigned in Chelsea District Court on a charge of murder.
The victim’s name was not released out of respect to the family until all proper notifications have been completed.
