UNADILLA, NY — A 44-year-old man was arrested following a physical domestic dispute and brief standoff with police March 18, 2026.
John T. Williams, of Unadilla, was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of second-degree harassment with physical contact, according to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators determined Williams used physical force against a victim while three children were present.
Williams was taken into custody after a brief standoff with police at a residence.
The New York State Police and Sidney Police Department assisted the sheriff’s office during the incident.
Williams was processed and turned over to the Otsego County Correctional Facility to await centralized arraignment.
He is scheduled to appear in Unadilla Town Court.
