LOGAN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police arrested a woman after she allegedly struck a car seat containing her 1-year-old child with her vehicle in a motel parking lot on March 18, 2026.
Kassandra Perry was taken into custody at a nearby Sam’s Club following the incident at the Horseshoe Curve Lodge on Pleasant Valley Boulevard.
Police responded to the motel at approximately 2906 Pleasant Valley Boulevard after receiving a report that a female had struck a child with a vehicle.
Officers spoke with a man who said he and Perry, his girlfriend, had been involved in a verbal altercation while he was placing their 1-year-old child into a vehicle.
The man told police he began walking toward the front of the motel during the argument.
Perry then exited the vehicle, removed the child, who was still in the car seat, and placed the car seat on the ground in the parking lot, according to police.
She returned to her vehicle and began backing out of the parking space, striking the car seat with the left front of the vehicle, police said.
Perry then left the parking lot at a high rate of speed, according to the report.
A motel employee notified the man that his child had been left unattended in the parking lot.
Officers reviewed surveillance footage from the motel.
Police located Perry at a Sam’s Club, where she appeared to be under the influence, according to the department.
She was arrested and transported to the Logan Township Police Department.
Perry was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a second-degree felony, and driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.
She was transported to Blair County Prison to await arraignment.
