Traffic stop leads to drug trafficking arrest in Sanford

SANFORD, ME — A traffic stop resulted in a drug trafficking arrest on the evening of March 18, 2026.

Sanford Police officers conducted the stop at approximately 5 p.m.

Khari Amad Wilcox Jr., 29, of Brockton, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged with operating without a license and unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs.

During the investigation, officers located suspected cocaine and crack cocaine, along with pills and multiple baggies of powder that are pending further testing for identification.

The incident remains under investigation.
