HOLYOKE, MA — Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a shooting that left a victim with serious injuries.
Robert Rivera, 41, also known as “Dirt,” is wanted on multiple violent and firearm-related offenses stemming from a Feb. 10 shooting, Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan announced Thursday.
Officers responded to the area of High Street and John Street around 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 for a shots fired call.
A scene was located on West Court.
Officers received information that the gunshot victim was in a vehicle on the way to a local hospital.
The adult male gunshot victim was located with serious injuries.
The individuals involved are known to one another, according to police.
After a confrontation, Rivera is alleged to have shot the adult male.
Rivera is approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 140 pounds.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
Police have arrested two juveniles in connection with the shooting.
Officers arrested a 17-year-old male at Holyoke Juvenile Court around 8:50 a.m. on Feb. 26 on a warrant in connection with the shooting.
Officers arrested a 16-year-old male at a home on Dwight Street around 6 a.m. on March 3 on a warrant in connection with the shooting.
The charges against the juveniles include joint venture, threat to commit a crime and conspiracy.
