WARRINGTON, PA — Police arrested a Bristol man on drug charges following a traffic stop on Easton Road on March 9.
Darnyll Warren Stancil, 35, of Bristol, was stopped by a Warrington officer near Titus Avenue after a registration check revealed his vehicle registration had expired in October and was suspended due to insurance cancellation.
Police said Stancil displayed signs of deceptive behavior during the traffic stop.
Officers requested assistance from an Abington Township K9 unit based on suspected narcotics activity.
K9 Dude alerted to the presence of drugs inside the vehicle, according to police.
A search of the vehicle revealed multiple blue wax baggies containing a white powder substance suspected to be methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia including a digital scale, cut straw, and a burnt glass smoking device, police said.
Stancil was arrested and transported to the police station for processing.
Bucks County Probation lodged a detainer due to Stancil’s probation status, and he was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
Stancil was charged with intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered, prohibited acts, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without required financial responsibility, and driving without proper registration.
