Bomb threat reported at high school in Deptford Township

DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ — Police received a 911 call reporting a bomb threat at Deptford High School at approximately 7:41 a.m. Thursday.

The school was immediately placed into lockdown as Deptford Township police officers and several partnering law enforcement agencies arrived and began assessing the situation.

The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office Explosives Detection K-9 Units responded and conducted thorough sweeps of the school.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office also responded and is aiding in the investigation.

Police said there is no credible threat to any students or staff.

The investigation has been turned over to the Deptford Township Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, which is working to identify any suspects associated with the incident.
