NEWARK, NJ — Police arrested 21 individuals with outstanding warrants for violent offenses in the Newark Police Division’s February fugitive roundup.
Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. said 16 of those arrested were wanted on charges of weapon possession, and two were wanted for carjacking.
“I applaud the Newark Police Intelligence/Fugitive Section for its consistent, outstanding work in keeping Newark neighborhoods safe from violent offenders,” Miranda said.
