SCHENECTADY, NY — Officers responded to the area of Second Avenue and Bluff Avenue for a report of a fight involving shots fired on March 17, 2026, at approximately 5:23 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers determined that the individuals involved had fled into a residence on Bluff Avenue.
Officers established a perimeter and successfully called the occupants out of the residence without further incident.
Anthony C. Briffault, 19, of Schenectady, was taken into custody as a result of the investigation.
Briffault was charged with menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, both class A misdemeanors.
