SPRING VALLEY, NY — Police conducted a proactive operation Tuesday to detect and remove credit card skimming devices at businesses throughout the village.
The Spring Valley Police Department worked with investigators from the Rockland County Intelligence Center on the detail, dubbed “Operation Swipe.”
Detectives and intelligence officers visited multiple establishments including gas stations, banks, retail stores and ATMs where skimming devices could potentially be found.
No skimmer devices were located during the detail, police said.
