ANNSVILLE, NY — A contractor has been arrested for allegedly failing to complete work he was paid to do, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.
On March 2, sheriff’s patrol received a complaint from a homeowner in the Town of Westmoreland who had paid a contractor on July 28, 2025, to do work at the home.
The contractor, Steven Grosjean, 59, of Annsville, never returned to do the work and never repaid the money to the homeowner, according to the sheriff’s office.
The case was turned over to the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Unit due to the felony level offense it involved.
On March 18, an investigator and patrol deputy located Grosjean at his home in Annsville and arrested him on one count of grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony.
Grosjean was processed and held at the Sheriff’s Correctional Facility to await CAP Court.
