OXFORD, PA — A 30-year-old Oxford man was arrested Feb. 21 after police said he refused to leave a business on South Third Street and gave officers a false name.
Oxford police said officers were dispatched at 11:25 a.m. to the unit block of South Third Street for a report of a person refusing to leave the property.
Officers arrived and escorted the man from the business, police said.
When officers asked for his identity for trespassing purposes, the man, later identified as Shawn Boz, of Oxford, provided a false name, according to police.
Police said suspicions about the false information led officers to take Boz into custody for identification purposes.
An identification card found in his pocket confirmed his identity, police said.
Boz was charged with false identification to law enforcement, defiant trespass and disorderly conduct.
He was transported to the Oxford Police Department for processing and then turned over to constables for transport to Chester County Prison, where he was arraigned and held on $10,000 bail with 10% permitted.
A preliminary hearing was held March 3 at Oxford District Court, where all charges were held for court.
