Man arrested on impersonation charge in Southport

SOUTHPORT, NY — A man was arrested on a criminal impersonation charge following a service call on March 16, 2026.

Cody R. Shoemaker, 37, of Elmira, was charged with Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Shoemaker was found to have four outstanding warrants.

A bench warrant was issued by Horseheads Town Court on Feb. 12, 2026, for Failure to Appear on a charge of Petit Larceny.

Two arrest warrants were issued by Southport Town Court on March 6, 2026, for Failure to Appear on charges of Petit Larceny and Resisting Arrest.

A bench warrant was issued by Chemung County Court on March 9, 2026, for Failure to Appear on charges of Grand Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree.

Shoemaker is being held at the Chemung County Jail pending arraignment.

HORSEHEADS, NY — A man was arrested on an active arrest warrant on March 16, 2026.

Lucas J. Matteson, 40, of Owego, was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of Petit Larceny.

The warrant was issued by Horseheads Town Court on Feb. 20, 2026.

Matteson was arraigned by Horseheads Town Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail.
