Juvenile arrested on weapon charges in North Tonawanda

NORTH TONAWANDA, NY — A 17-year-old male was arrested on weapon charges following the execution of a search warrant on March 17, 2026.

The North Tonawanda Police Department assisted the Niagara Falls Police Department Criminal Investigation Division with executing the search warrant on 7th Avenue in relation to an ongoing investigation.

The T-NT SWAT team secured the residence before a search was conducted.

Detectives located a loaded handgun and loaded extended magazine in the juvenile’s bedroom during the search.

The juvenile was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a class C felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony.

He was produced in front of Niagara County Family Court Youth Part and remanded to the Erie County Juvenile Detention Center with $10,000 bail.

Police said the juvenile is not currently attending North Tonawanda schools.
