SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor police arrested Xavier Rodriguez, 19, of Manchester at 11:35 a.m. Monday on an active arrest warrant.
Police said the charge stems from a September incident in which Rodriguez was identified as the driver of a vehicle that ran over a Manchester police officer’s foot and fled from Manchester.
Police said South Windsor officers later located the vehicle at the FedEx Distribution Center on Kennedy Road.
Rodriguez then intentionally struck a South Windsor police cruiser, causing minor damage and no injuries to officers, police said.
Police said he then struck another parked vehicle, fled the scene and led officers on a pursuit before crashing back in Manchester and fleeing on foot.
An arrest warrant was later obtained, and Rodriguez was processed and presented Monday in Manchester Superior Court because he was already in state custody on charges from other jurisdictions, police said.
