Vehicle rollover reported in Rindge

RINDGE, NH — A single-vehicle rollover on Route 202 near County Road sent two people to the hospital Friday afternoon.

Rindge Police and Rindge Fire Department responded to the crash at 3:38 p.m.

A 1989 Chevy Blazer was traveling northbound when it was passed and cut off by another vehicle, according to police.

The driver of the Chevy braked, lost control, rolled over and landed on the opposite side of the road, partially submerged in water.

The driver, a 30-year-old man from Jaffrey, and a 5-year-old passenger both sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The child was transported to UMASS Memorial in Worcester by medical helicopter as a precaution.

The adult was transported to the same hospital by Jaffrey Rindge Memorial Ambulance.

Jaffrey Fire Department and Jaffrey Rindge Memorial Ambulance assisted at the scene and with the medical helicopter landing zone.

Gauthier Auto Service of Jaffrey removed the vehicle.

Police are withholding the identities of those involved to protect the privacy of the child.
