SHERBURNE, NY — A Hubbardsville man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop for an expired vehicle inspection on March 4, 2026.
Nicholas D. Murphy, 27, of Hubbardsville, was stopped by Chenango County Sheriff’s deputies in the village.
Following an investigation, Murphy was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
He was also charged with criminal possession of drug paraphernalia in the second degree, uninspected motor vehicle, unlicensed operator, and aggravated unlicensed operator in the third degree.
