MORETOWN, VT — The Vermont State Police arrested a Moretown man on a domestic assault charge Sunday afternoon.
Joshua Brackett, 40, of Moretown, was taken into custody without incident following a report of a domestic assault on South Hill Road.
Troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to the scene at approximately 1:42 p.m.
An investigation revealed that Brackett committed the offense of domestic assault by causing fear of imminent serious bodily injury to a household member, according to police.
Brackett was transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.
He was later released with a criminal citation and conditions of release.
Brackett is scheduled to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Washington County, Criminal Division on Monday at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the charge.
