NEWARK, NJ — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred Wednesday.
At approximately 11:45 a.m., police responded to Grafton Avenue near Broadway on a call of shots fired.
Responding officers located ballistics evidence and later located a male victim who was uninjured.
The hood of the victim’s vehicle had been damaged by gunfire.
Detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual who was observed on surveillance cameras discharging a firearm and striking the victim’s vehicle.
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. urges anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-695-8477.
All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
