NORWALK, CT — Norwalk Patrol Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Winfield Street and Naples Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle accident on March 13, 2026, at 2:21 p.m.
Initial information suggested the incident may have been related to a robbery that reportedly occurred in a nearby jurisdiction.
Officers responded to the scene and conducted an investigation, which included speaking with the individuals involved in the accident, interviewing witnesses, and canvassing the surrounding area.
Based on the investigation, officers determined that the initial reports of a robbery were unfounded, and no evidence was found to indicate that a robbery had occurred.
At no time was there a threat to public safety.
