Man arrested on DUI charge in Warwick

WARWICK, RI — State Police arrested two men on drunken driving charges Friday evening.

At 6:07 p.m., troopers arrested Devon A. Collins, 27, of Cranston, for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor – BAC .10 – .15 or greater – second offense.

The arrest was the result of an erratic operator call and troopers subsequently locating the vehicle on Route 95 North in Warwick.

Collins registered a .20 percent blood alcohol content in both phases of testing.

He was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed.

Collins was then transported to the Adult Corrections Institute Men’s Intake where he was held over the weekend pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court where he will be presented as a probation violator.

At 10:09 p.m., troopers arrested Justin Warner, 36, of Central Falls, for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor/or drugs – BAC unknown – first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test – first offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in Warwick.

Warner was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Third Division District Court date.
