KERHONKSON, NY — A 19-year-old man faces multiple felony charges related to the promotion of obscene material involving children.
Jesse J. Bayetis, of Kerhonkson, was arrested March 6, 2026, by the New York State Police Troop F Computer Crimes Unit.
Bayetis is charged with 20 counts of Promote an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child Less Than 17 Years of Age, a Class D Felony.
He is accused of promoting images consistent with child sexual exploitation depicting infants and children.
The investigation began following a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
A search warrant was executed at Bayetis’ residence in Kerhonkson on Dec. 19, 2025.
The arrest resulted from a joint investigation conducted by the New York State Police Troop F Computer Crimes Unit, in collaboration with the Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Ellenville, Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement, Community Stabilization Unit and the Orange County Child Abuse Unit.
Bayetis was arraigned in Plattekill Town Court Central Arraignment Part and remanded to Ulster County Jail.
Bail was set at $10,000 cash, $20,000 secured bond, or $50,000 partially secured bond.
He was scheduled to appear in the Town of Rochester Court on March 11, 2026, at 10 a.m.
