TURNER, ME — Authorities are investigating a series of overnight burglaries and attempted break-ins at firearms dealers and a cannabis shop across three communities.

The Maine State Police received a commercial burglary alarm at Northeastern Firearms at 3:21 a.m. March 13, 2026, according to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched at 3:24 a.m. after State Police notified the sheriff’s office.

At 3:35 a.m., Corporal Gregory Pealatere was responding to the alarm when he encountered a vehicle without headlights pulling out of the parking lot of Vacationland Cannabis, which was closed at the time.

The vehicle, identified as a gray 2024 Ford F150 Lightning, fled from Corporal Pealatere, who lost sight of it near the intersection of Main Street and Turner Center Road.

Deputies discovered Vacationland Cannabis had been burglarized and an undisclosed number of products were stolen.

At Northeastern Firearms, deputies found evidence of an attempted burglary, but entry was not gained.

The F150’s license plate was traced to a residence off Marston Hill Road in Auburn, where the vehicle had been reported stolen.

The vehicle was later recovered near 118 Pennell Street in Westbrook with assistance from the Westbrook Police Department.

At 1:08 a.m., the sheriff’s office responded with Sabattus and Lewiston police departments to an attempted burglary at First Due Firearms in Sabattus, which investigators believe is connected to the Turner incidents.

Video surveillance developed two suspects: a white slender male wearing a North Face jacket with black athletic pants and black sneakers, and a white slender male wearing a gray zip-up Alaskan Hardgear jacket with “Spang Builders” embroidered on the left chest, blue sweatpants and red sneakers with white soles.

Physical evidence has been recovered at the crime scenes and from the stolen vehicle.

The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact Detective Nathan McNally at 207-753-2566 or [email protected].
