DORSET, VT — A woman was issued a criminal citation following a road rage incident on U.S. Route 7.
Vermont State Police troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks responded to 2045 U.S. Route 7 at approximately 7:46 p.m. March 4, 2026.
Based on the investigation and evidence at the scene, the incident was determined to be the result of negligent operation by Elizabeth D. Blackwood, 38, of Danby.
Police determined that Blackwood provided false information to troopers on scene regarding the circumstances of the incident.
Blackwood also provided false information during the report she made when initially calling in the incident, according to police.
Blackwood was issued a criminal citation on charges of negligent operation and false reports to law enforcement authorities.
She is scheduled to appear in Bennington County Superior Court – Criminal Division on May 11, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
