SUTTON, VT — A man was arrested on a DUI charge after his vehicle went off the road on March 10, 2026.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury barracks were dispatched to Pudding Hill Road at approximately 11:02 p.m. for a report of a vehicle off the road.
Upon arrival, the operator was identified as Stanley Francis, 83, of Lyndon.
Francis was being removed from the vehicle by local fire and EMS officials before being transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Troopers interviewed Francis at the hospital and determined he was under the influence of intoxicants at the time of operation.
He was processed and released with a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division.
