HOPE VALLEY, RI — A West Warwick man turned himself in to state police on multiple fraud and forgery charges Tuesday evening.
Troopers arrested Caine Pincince, 45, of West Warwick, at 6:15 p.m. at the Hope Valley Barracks.
Pincince faces charges of giving false document to agent, employee or public official, obtaining property by false pretense over $10,000, access to computer for fraudulent purposes, fraudulently obtaining public assistance over $500 and fraudulent use of food stamps over $500.
He is also charged as a fugitive from justice out of Connecticut on charges of issuing a bad check, two counts, and larceny in the third degree, two counts, originating from Connecticut State Police Troop C.
The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation.
Pincince was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
He was transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.
