SIDNEY, NY — New York State Police arrested a man on a felony grand larceny charge on March 11, 2026.
Michael Anthony Davis Jr., 33, of Unadilla, was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony.
An investigation revealed that in October 2025, a couple from Unadilla made a post on social media looking for a contractor to complete work at their residence.
Davis commented on the post stating he could complete the work.
The couple provided Davis with $1,500 for materials.
Davis continuously gave the victims excuses as to why he could not begin or complete any work, according to police.
Davis was issued an appearance ticket to Unadilla Town Court on April 21, 2026.
