Two arrested on weapons charges in Wilton

WILTON, NY — A traffic stop for unsafe lane change on Interstate 87 led to the arrest of two Schenectady men on weapons and other charges Tuesday afternoon.

Stacey J. McDuffie, 52, of Schenectady, and Eric Q. Parker, 50, of Schenectady, were arrested following the stop at 3:39 p.m. in the town of Wilton, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

McDuffie was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, both unclassified misdemeanors, and moving from lane unsafely.

He is accused of possessing a stun gun having previously been convicted of a crime, operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition and while his blood alcohol content was 0.11%, and failing to operate his vehicle as nearly as practicable entirely within a single lane.

Parker was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, both class A misdemeanors.

He is accused of possessing a stun gun and of knowingly and unlawfully possessing a controlled substance.

McDuffie was arraigned before the Honorable Chad Jerome in the Wilton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.

Parker was released on an appearance ticket pending further proceedings in the Wilton Town Court.
