LYNDONVILLE, VT — A 55-year-old man was arrested March 10, 2026, following an investigation into allegations of sexual contact with a child under the age of 11.
Stanley J. Jenks, of Lyndonville, was taken into custody after members of the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at his residence.
Jenks was charged with sex abuse in the first degree, a class D felony.
He also faces charges of forcible touching, a class A misdemeanor, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
Jenks was additionally charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
He is being held at the Orleans County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $25,000 bond.
Jenks is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ridgeway Court on April 20, 2026.
