EASTON, PA — A 14-year-old male was cited on multiple charges following a report of juveniles riding electric dirt bikes recklessly at a township park.
Officers responded to the area of 500 Zucksville Road, Forks Township Community Park, at approximately 6:51 p.m. March 9 for a report of several juveniles riding electric dirt bikes while wearing ski masks and driving recklessly.
Officers spent several minutes attempting to locate and stop the juveniles.
Palmer Township Police and Palmer Township Fire Department’s Drone Unit assisted in locating one of the juveniles at his residence.
The juvenile was charged by non-traffic citation with a local ordinance violation and issued five additional traffic citations.
The charges include a local ordinance violation for certain recreational and motorized vehicles, reckless driving, careless driving, registration and certificate of title required, drivers required to be licensed, and duties at a stop sign.
Electric scooters of any kind are strictly prohibited from public roadways and township property and may only be operated on private property, police said.
