SEARSPORT, ME — The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency announced the arrest of five individuals on drug trafficking charges following the execution of search warrants at two residences early Tuesday morning.
David Hersom, 65, of Searsport, was charged with unlawful trafficking schedule “W” drugs class B.
Bail was set at $2,500 cash.
Melissa Dyer, 47, of Searsport, was charged with unlawful trafficking schedule “W” drugs class B.
Bail was set at $2,500 cash.
Holly Jo Ward, 42, of Searsport, was charged with aggravated trafficking schedule “W” drugs class A.
Bail was set at $750 cash.
Yandril Mateo-Nunez, 20, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was charged with aggravated trafficking schedule “W” drugs class A.
Bail was set at $10,000 cash.
Nelkis Alexander Villalona-Perez, 22, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was charged with aggravated trafficking schedule “W” drugs class A.
Bail was set at $10,000 cash.
The MDEA Mid-Coast Drug Task Force, the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office and the Searsport Police Department conducted a joint investigation over several months into the sale of methamphetamine and cocaine from two residences in Searsport.
The investigation included several undercover purchases of cocaine base and methamphetamine from the residences.
MDEA applied for and received search warrants for 22 Homestead Lane and 119 Loop Road in Searsport on Tuesday.
With assistance from the Maine State Police tactical team, Waldo County Sheriff’s Office and Searsport Police Department, the warrants were executed in the early morning hours.
Agents seized $4,390 in suspected drug proceeds, 70 grams of methamphetamine, 24 grams of cocaine and two firearms at 119 Loop Road.
Agents seized 28 firearms and 29 grams of methamphetamine at 22 Homestead Lane.
The estimated street value of the drugs is $12,400.
All five suspects are being held at the Waldo County Jail awaiting their initial appearance in court.
