HARTFORD, CT — Police are investigating a double shooting that left one man in critical condition.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 65 Madison Avenue at approximately 6:29 p.m. Tuesday following a ShotSpotter notification.
Upon arrival, officers located two victims of gunfire.
The first victim, a male in his thirties, was suffering from gunshot injuries described as non-life-threatening.
He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The second victim, also a male in his thirties, was suffering from serious gunshot injuries and was transported to an area hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
The Hartford Police Department Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded to the scene and have assumed the investigation.
