LEHIGHTON, PA — Police are seeking information about a motorcyclist who fled from officers and abandoned his vehicle near a wooded area this evening.
Lehighton Borough Police attempted to stop a motorcycle driving recklessly through the borough at approximately 7:15 p.m.
The motorcycle was not displaying any registration information.
The vehicle fled into Weissport and onto Long Run Road before police discontinued the pursuit per department policy.
Officers later found the motorcycle dumped near a wooded area and observed the operator fleeing on foot into the woods.
Attempts to locate the operator were unsuccessful.
The operator is believed to be male, average size, and was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
The operator’s helmet was found near the motorcycle.
