GENESEO, NY — A Monroe County resident faces a felony charge after jail staff discovered him with dangerous contraband, according to Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty.
Members of the Livingston County Jail observed incarcerated individual Lorenzo Wade in possession of dangerous contraband at approximately 9 p.m. March 8, 2026.
Wade was arrested March 9, 2026, and charged with felony Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree.
Wade was arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Leicester Justice Durbin.
The judge set bail at $1, but Wade was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff without the possibility of bail due to being a sentenced federal inmate.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Wade at the arraignment.
The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office represented the People.
