COOPERSTOWN, NY — A Fort Plain man faces multiple felony charges after allegedly breaking into a residence and threatening a person protected by an order of protection.
John T. Rundblad Jr., 33, was arrested March 6 following a domestic dispute investigation by the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the village where a male subject had reportedly entered unlawfully and displayed a knife.
Upon arrival, deputies determined Rundblad violated a valid order of protection by entering the residence and threatening one of the protected parties in view of two children.
Rundblad was located near the incident location and taken into custody without incident.
He was charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony; third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony; first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon; second-degree menacing; two counts of second-degree criminal contempt; and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Rundblad was processed and turned over to Otsego County Corrections pending centralized arraignment in Otsego Town Court.
