TROY, NY — A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shots fired incident that occurred late Saturday night.

On Saturday around 11:30 p.m., Troy Police patrol officers were dispatched to the area of 4th Avenue and 119th Street after Rensselaer County Bureau of Public Safety dispatchers received several emergency calls reporting shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers located evidence in a common hallway of 696 4th Avenue.

No victims were injured by the shots.

While at the scene, patrol officers identified an individual possibly involved in the disturbance.

Detectives responded to the scene and during the overnight hours reviewed evidence and interviewed the individual identified by patrol officers.

A search warrant at the residence yielded the confiscation of an illegal, loaded and stolen firearm.

Based on the investigation, it was determined the individual had fired a handgun while standing near the porch area of the residence.

Investigative reports determined the suspect was involved in a dispute with another individual outside in the nearby area, then returned to his residence and fired the shots.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident and brought to the police station for processing.

David Arrington, 29, of Troy, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
