LAKEWOOD, NJ — A man faces multiple charges following a foot chase near railroad tracks on March 6.
Officers assigned to the Lakewood Police Department Street Crimes Unit observed suspicious activity near the railroad tracks in the area of 160 Ocean Avenue.
As officers approached to investigate, the suspect fled on foot.
During the brief pursuit, the individual ran into the roadway and narrowly avoided being struck by a passing vehicle before officers took him into custody a short distance away.
A search incident to arrest resulted in the recovery of a small quantity of crack cocaine, a glass pipe and a box cutter style knife.
Felix Fernando Sierra Fabian, of Lakewood, was charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, loitering to obtain CDS, obstruction and resisting arrest by flight.
He was released on a summons pending a future court appearance.
