Man arrested on contempt charge in Franklin Borough

FRANKLIN BOROUGH, NJ — A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with contempt of court after officers found him at a location he was barred from entering.

Edward Zubl, 54, of Franklin Borough, was arrested on the morning of Jan. 31, 2026, by Franklin Borough Patrol Officers Eric Moschberger and Jonathan Sienkiewicz on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Sussex County Superior Court.

While proactively patrolling the borough, officers located Zubl outside a former residence on Main Street.

During the execution of the warrant, officers confirmed that Zubl had previously been barred from the premises pursuant to a separate court order.

Zubl was charged with contempt of court, a disorderly persons offense, in addition to the service of the county warrant.

Zubl was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending his appearance in Sussex County Superior Court in accordance with the New Jersey Bail Reform Act.
