EXETER, RI — A 54-year-old man was arrested on child abuse charges Sunday night following an investigation by state police.
Scott R. Labossiere, of Exeter, was taken into custody at 10:44 p.m. at 330 South County Trail.
He faces two counts of second degree child abuse and one count of refusal to relinquish or to damage or to obstruct telephone.
The arrest was the result of an investigation by members of the Hope Valley Barracks.
Labossiere was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and held overnight.
He is scheduled to appear in Fourth Division District Court.
