Norlene Emrick-Brooks, 75, of Concord, succumbed to her injuries on March 3, 2026, nearly two weeks after the Feb. 19 crash.
Vermont State Police troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to assist the Essex County Sheriff’s Department at approximately 4:09 p.m. Feb. 19 on River Road near the intersection of Walker Pit Road.

Emrick-Brooks was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Littleton Regional Healthcare before being airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt, according to police.
The Lunenburg Fire Department, Concord Fire & Rescue, and Lancaster Ambulance responded to the scene.
Vermont State Police assumed responsibility for the crash investigation upon notification of the fatality.
