ST. JOHNSBURY, VT — A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after being found slumped over behind the wheel at a gas station.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks discovered Joseph Rushford, 32, of Derby, behind the wheel at 85 U.S. Route 2 West at 11:49 p.m. March 6.
While speaking with Rushford, troopers detected indicators of impairment.
Rushford was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.
Rushford was also found to be operating a motor vehicle with a criminally suspended license.
He was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on March 9 at 12:30 p.m.
