BARNET, VT — A Massachusetts man was arrested on multiple charges after state police clocked his vehicle traveling 100 mph on Interstate 91.
Kevin Monagle, 26, of Canton, Massachusetts, was observed driving in excess of the posted speed limit at 3:58 p.m. March 6, 2026, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers verified the vehicle’s speed on radar at 100 mph in a posted 65 mph zone.
A traffic stop was initiated and Monagle was identified as the operator.
An investigation determined that Monagle had operated under the influence, police said.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police barracks in St. Johnsbury for processing.
Monagle was later released on a citation charging him with DUI, excessive speed and negligent operation.
