Two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 5 in Westminster

WESTMINSTER, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred March 7, 2026, at 2:07 p.m. on U.S. Route 5 near Henwood Hill.

Kelsey Bacon, 19, of Rockingham, was operating a 2015 Toyota Highlander that was exiting Henwood Hill when it was struck by a 2006 BMW 530xi traveling southbound on U.S. Route 5.

The BMW was operated by Alysia Barbera, 32, of Brattleboro.

Neither operator was injured in the crash.

Both vehicles were totaled.

Neither operator was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Troopers, EMS and fire personnel responded to the scene.

Road conditions were wet and weather was cloudy at the time of the crash.

The contributing factors and cause of the crash remain under investigation.
