Man in crisis located, transported to hospital in Holyoke

HOLYOKE, MA — Police officers located and assisted a suicidal man Monday evening.

Around 5 p.m., Officer Craig Zolendziewski responded to Wycoff Avenue for a report of a person in crisis.

An adult male had made suicidal statements to his family.

Officers searched for the man in distress and located him in the area of Jones Point Park.

Officers Brendan Leahy and Manuel Rivera arrived and assisted in the search.

Officer Rivera located the subject on Pleasant Street.

After speaking with officers and his family, the man was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment.
