Man arrested on domestic incident charges in Dundee

DUNDEE, NY — A man was arrested after a domestic incident in the Village of Dundee on March 6.

Craig Webster, 31, of Dundee, was taken into custody at 10:20 p.m. after Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence for a reported domestic incident.

Deputies determined that Webster had attempted to gain access to an apartment where a protected party listed in an active order of protection was located.

While attempting to gain access, Webster caused damage to the door and made threats toward the occupants inside the residence, according to the sheriff’s office.

Webster was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Yates County Jail.

He was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony; fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor; and two counts of second-degree harassment, a violation.

Webster is being held pending arraignment in CAP Court.

Deputies A. Garren and N. Fultz responded to the scene, along with New York State Police.
