Man arrested after foot pursuit in Bath

BATH, NY — A Village of Bath police officer arrested a man on an active warrant March 6, 2026, after a foot pursuit through multiple backyards.

An officer on patrol in the area of East William Street and Wilkes Avenue at approximately 4:53 p.m. observed a male and female walking and recognized the male as Dylan M. Henry, 34, of Bath.

The officer knew Henry had an active warrant for his arrest through the Village of Bath Police Department.

Henry engaged the officer in a foot pursuit through multiple backyards in the East William Street and Gansevoort Street area after the officer advised him of the warrant.

Henry was located and apprehended in a backyard on East William Street without further incident.

Police said at no time was there any danger to the public.

Upon processing, Henry was determined to have active warrants out of the Corning Police Department and New York State Police as well.

Henry was also found to have a full stay away order of protection against him, protecting the female whom the officer originally observed him walking with.

Henry was processed on his active Bath Police Department warrant and additionally charged with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree and criminal contempt in the second degree, all class A misdemeanors.

Henry was turned over to the New York State Police for processing and was subsequently transported to the Steuben County Jail for centralized arraignment.
